He's going to encounter a situation where he's had he has to make a judgment.This system monitors john's brain activity as he decides whether to shoot or not to shoot.And we will analyze how he made his decisions and when he made them and whether or not they were good or bad.And that will instruct him what to do and what to remediate.If he made any it will take a while before we get the results of this training.But neural scientists say the goal here is to train the officers to identify if they were in the right state of mind to make that life or death decision,The officers or the participants are surprised.They'll say I didn't realize that I had gone that far off course and sometimes they say,oh I knew exactly.That's exactly right,I knew something was wrong but I wasn't able to control it.But by using this technology,they say they can help officers reach the right state even in the most stressful situations,And with training teach them how to control both their hearts and minds either make the right decision and shoot as quickly as possible or more importantly to inhibit that reflex almost to pull the trigger.Advanced brain monitoring is currently using this technology to train officers in Washington state but they hope to start using this with officers across the country In kearny mesa .liberty zabala, nbc seven
