Job description
Professor Aditi Lahiri and Dr Sandra Kotzor seek a postdoctoral research assistant for their project: Journey of words: from manuscript to mind (funded by an AHRC Standard Grant) to be based at the Language and Brain Laboratory, Wellington Square, Oxford.
The postholder is to be responsible for the planning, design, implementation and analysis of the experimental part of the project(under the guidance of the PIs) which investigates stress differences in Romance borrowings into English, Dutch and German from both a historical and a psycholinguistic perspective. The psycholinguistic strand of the project examines the processing of stress differences between English and Dutch/German in L2 learners of English with German or Dutch as their native language. The experiments and historical analysis will form the foundation for the creation of a digital teaching resource to aid pronunciation teaching
职位要求
Qualifications and Personal Skills
The postholder should have a doctoral degree in Linguistics or Psychology (with a focus on language) or a related field, such as but not limited to (experimental/cognitive) psychology, psycholinguistics or neurolinguistics; have the ability to carry out EEG acquisition and analysis of EEG data independently with evidence of an excellent background in neurolinguistics research, particularly in EEG; and possess fluency in English and either Dutch or German (spoken and written).
