The Aston Corpus Linguistics Research Group is delighted to be hosting a free one-day symposium on corpus linguistics at Aston University on Monday 8th November 2021. This will be a ‘hybrid’ event, where participants will be free to choose whether to attend in person (subject to capacity limits) or online (via Zoom).
The aim of the symposium is to share the ways in which researchers at Aston are applying corpus methods to a range of contexts. We are also excited to confirm that two excellent researchers have agreed give plenary talks at the symposium. We will be joined by Professor Michaela Mahlberg (University of Birmingham) and Professor Tony McEnery (Lancaster University). Please see our plenary speakers page for more information.
The symposium will take place in the Susan Cadbury Lecture Theatre at Aston Business School and will be broadcast live on Zoom.
